Lungile has a National Diploma in Dramatic Arts and Television Studies from Durban University of Technology. As an actor she has performed in productions such as ‘Unwanted Guests’, where she played a character of Rhea which was show cased at the Olive Tree Theatre directed by Nicole Masuku. She bad worked as an actress in ‘Ubuhlaluse’ with Mike Mvelase’s company which was performed at the City Hall for the Durban Municipality Gala Awards Dinner. She also played the character of Chorus in ‘Antigone’ which was directed by Lloyd O’Connor at the Courtyard Theatre, played the character of Fenyani’s Mother in a Puppet Production, ‘The Bride and The Monster’ which was written and directed by Gizele Turner at the Courtyard Theatre. She played the character of Mhlophekazi in ‘Nawe Mbopha KaSithayi’ which was directed by Siza Mthembu at the Courtyard Theatre and the Stable Theatre. Also played the character of Electra in ‘Living Dead Girl’ which was written and directed by Marcia Peshcke at the Courtyard Theatre. As a dance she has been in productions such as ‘Nokulunga’s Wedding’ choreography by Mdu Mtshali which was performed at Wits Theatre for Dance Umbrella. Also danced in ‘Freedom, Mirrors, Chandelier and Twerkers?’ choreography by Musa Hlatshwayo at the Wushwini Arts, Cultural and Heritage Centre for Uhuru Festival.Lungile was recently featured on the most Popular Mzansi Magic Soapie “Isibaya” (cameo).she can now be seen on the new Popular drama “Uzalo” on (Sabc1).
